My understanding of the JRuby, RoR situation is that the JRuby folks are using RoR as a test of JRuby itself so that being able to drop RoR into a JRuby environment and run it without changes is a high priority. I would assume that Django could not be run in Jython the same way, or are you thinking of a different way of integrating these components? Based on my (old) knowledge of Jython, I didn't see a clear way to hook these pieces together, but I'd be willing to try it if someone more knowledgeable than I could help me get started.
